In v22.01+, users may customize Live Data Views and associated Live Data Reports in core portions of Q360 using customizable data source administration options.
Prerequisite: Must be a system admin user to use this feature–changes you make are global.
Add a Custom Column to a Live Data View:
- Maintenance Menu > Datasource Administration (Datasource Search window will open)
- To search for View that you wish to customize, type View name in search box at top of window and press enter, i.e. LDView_Contact. OR you may click on the gray square next to the search box to pull up a list of all views. Then, click the filter icon on the list (grid), and start typing a view name into the Name column filter field to search for it.
- Drill into your chosen view by clicking on the magnifying glass icon. The window Datasource: Your View Name will appear.
- In this window, your view name will appear in the name field at the top. If the “Grid View Name” field is populated, the View is extendable (customizable).
- Click Fields grid Edit button.
- When the Customize Grid View/Columns window opens, find the grid view column you want to add. Check box / boxes in Include column and SAVE.
Anywhere in the system that this customized View is used, the newly added column / columns will appear.
Create Customized Live Data Report:
- Live Data > Live Data Reports
- Click Add button.
- Open Design SQL tab.
- Choose a Data Source from the dropdown menu.
- Open Add Field tab (left side).
- Select a new field from the Add Fields list (click Add button next to field name).
- Open the Filters tab and click the grid Add button
- In the pop up window that opens, choose a Filter Type and Field Name, type a Caption, and click OK.
- On main New Live Data Report screen, click SAVE.
