Configure CUSTVEND record: This must be done before a voucher is created against the vendor, or the voucher will not show up on the 1099 report
- Open Customer record
- On Cust/Vend tab, confirm that the Type field is set to CUSTVEND
- On the Vendor sub tab, confirm that the 1099 Flag checkbox is checked
- Fill in the 1099 Number field with the Tax Identification Number (this may also be left blank)
- Select a 1099 Type from the drop down list *Note: if you are creating a 1099 for a Subcontractor, do not select SUB, use NONEMP
Configure a voucher:
- Open a voucher
- Confirm that the 1099 Type matches what was selected in the previous section
- If another 1099 Type is needed for this voucher, select from the drop down list and then click SAVE
Complete and Print a 1099 form in Q360.
- Go to Accounting menu > Reports > Taxes > 1099-Misc Report. The 1099 MISC form will open in a new window
- Select a Time Period
- Select a Company or leave the auto-populated Company in the Company field
- If you do not select a specific Vendor No., you will see all returns for the Company and Time Period selected. If you select a specific Vendor No., you will see only returns for that vendor on the report
- Click Run Report. The Print Report window will open
- Several Report Options may be listed. Check with your Q360 Administrator to confirm which report options to use
- Select Print Destination and Print Format and click the Print button
- When the report opens, you may print or download the report – it is recommended that you test print the report on regular printer paper before printing to the 1099 form paper
