While Quotes can be generated for Prospects, those Quotes may only be approved, but converted to Orders until the Prospect is converted to a Customer
- Go to Sales > Customers and open a Customer record of TYPE Prospect
- Click the EDIT icon
- Change the Type field to one of the following options:
- CUSTOMER for Customers
- CUSTVEND for Customers / Vendors and Vendors
- Confirm other information
- Click the Save icon
Permissions required to convert a PROSPECT to a CUSTOMER are CUSTTYPE_CREATE and ACCOUNT_VIEW
