This section covers how to import and / or update Master Part Numbers, also referred to as “Masters” or “MasterNos”
The purpose is to allow the user to do the following:
- update a list of MasterNo’s selling price and / or description;
- activate / inactivate MasterNos
- Note: This is an alternate option instead of accessing the system interface and adding / editing each MasterNo record one by one
To obtain the Import Template for this process, contact your Q360 Administrator
- Note: any fields left blank on this Import Template will be treated as “unchanged” by the system and will not be updated
- Note: ITEMTYPE may not be changed for existing Masters

- Go to Inventory Menu > Import / Update Masters
- A “Select a file to import” window appears
- Select the applicable Import Filters checkbox(es) for your purpose:
- Import Items not found in database? and / or
- Import Items found in database? and / or
- Import Items with missing item types? and / or
- Import rows with invalid categories / sub categories? and / or
- Create missing categories / sub categories?
- Select or browse for the data Import File previously filled out and saved (as per pre-requisite)
- Click Save button. You have now updated the Master Part Numbers as listed in your Import Sheet
- Go to Inventory > Master Part Numbers
- Search for Master Part Number(s) on your data Import File to verify the update
- Notice those Master record(s) you imported have been updated
