Sometimes Customer approval is required before work can be started on a Service Call. In this instance, you may wish to create a Quote detailing the Service Call components and pricing.
- Open the Call record
- From the Extended Menu, select the Create Quote option. Note the following:
- Various fields within the Call are inherited automatically by the Quote
- The Order Type field is set to WORKORDER
- In the new Quote record, do one of the following:
- Fill out the rest of the Quote details including Line Items, Quick Lists, and / or Products, and process the Quote. Refer to Sales Procedures if needed
- In the Call > WO / Invoice tab, locate the linked Quote. If the quote is converted, the subsequent Sales Order is visible in the Work Orders grid
