Configuration settings
The configuration setting PROJECTSOV must be set to ON in order to use SOV in the system and to have the SOV tab display in the Project form. By default, this option is set to OFF and the SOV tab in the Project form does not display.

Permissions

The permission PROJECTSOV must be granted to users who need to work with project SOVs.  The permission options are View, Create, Edit, Delete, and Execute.

Project permissions must also be granted to users.  Depending on the level of access required, specific permissions may vary.

Accounting permissions must also be granted to users who need to interact with Invoice form information.  Depending on the level of access required, specific permissions may vary.

SOV Master Items

In order to work with and print SOVs, related items must be assigned an SOV master item. Typically, there are two kinds of master items set up in the system.

SOV-TAXABLE

• M type item
• The Sales Taxable check box in the Master Inventory form should be checked

SOV-NONTAXABLE

• M type item
• The Sales Taxable check box in the Master Inventory form should be unchecked
