Enhanced Context Sensitive Help within Q360 allows users to access Help Center content specific to the form in use. Core help articles are linked to anchors on forms, fields and menu items and are available in Q360 versions 22.02+. Clicking on these anchors will direct the user to the related Help Center article, or to a list of related articles (if more than one is available). Additionally, Q360 customers may create their own anchors, and link articles, business documents, and videos specific to their company.
Required Permissions:
The HELPADMIN permission controls how users may interact with Q360 Context Sensitive Help. Users with the View permission will be able to see the help anchors on forms where they have been added. Create, Edit and Delete permissions are required in order to Add, Edit or Delete help anchors and / or articles. The Exec permission grants all of the previously mentioned permissions.
Access core context sensitive help:
- From a form containing a help anchor (gold icon with a black question mark), click on the anchor.
- If only one element is linked to the anchor, the user will be directed to the element (a related article on the Q360 Help Center).
- Note: Q360 will pass a user access token to the Help Center and not prompt the user to log in, only if the user has logged into the Help Center within the previous 24 hours. We recommend users access the Help Center via the Q360 Help Menu > Contents upon logging into Q360 for the day. This will ensure that any later attempts to use Context Sensitive Help will seamlessly pass the access token for the remainder of the day.
- If more than one element is linked to the anchor, a pop-up window will appear with a list of the associated elements. Selecting an element from the list will direct the user to that element (a related article on the Q360 Help Center). See above note to ensure seamless transition to the online Help Center.
