This section describes how to integrate and use D-Tools project management software with Q360.

Prerequisites

• Your system must be updated to Q360 version 10.01 or later
• You have D-Tools set up and configured
• Make sure that Director is configured. For more information, see the topic Director Setup.

Configure API settings

To configure your Q360 setup with API integration for D-Tools, complete the following steps:

1. Go to Maintenance > API Configuration.
2. Click the D-Tools tab.
3. Enter the following details:
   

   API Key	Provided by D-Tools
   Price Source	Indicates if the price of line items should be set based on D-Tools or use the price from Q360
   Cost Source	Indicates if the price of line items should be set based on D-Tools or use the price from Q360
   Customer No.	The D-Tools vendor/customer record that must be set up in Q360
   Labor Flag	Set to either MASTERLABOR or QUOTEITEM. Since the D-Tools equipment list has labor incorporated in the line items, this configuration indicates if the D-Tools labor should be broken up as independent labor lines in Q360 quote items, or as part of the master labor.
   Master Labor No	When labor lines are created or records are created in the master labor for the quote item, this controls what master number to use on those lines.

4. Click Save.
5. Click Test Service to ensure D-Tools is correctly configured.

Push from Q360 to D-Tools

Push quote information to D-Tools using the following steps:

1. Create and build a quote in Q360.
2. Click the extended menu and select Export to D-Tools. This pushes the quote from Q360 to D-Tools.

Import the Q360 quote from D-Tools using the following steps:

1. In D-Tools go to Integration.
2. Click Import. This prompts you to select all quotes to import into Q360.
3. Select the quotes you want to import, then click Import. D-Tools sets this up as project.

Push from D-Tools to Q360

Push the D-Tools project to Q360 using the following steps:

1. In D-Tools go to your projects.
2. Right click on the project and click Check Out.
3. Go to Integration > Export.
   This loads the projects in the D-Tools API.

Import the D-Tools project into Q360 using the following steps:

1. In Q360, open the quote you want to view.
2. Click the extended menu and select Import D-Tools. This adds the items to the quote.

Import Rules

• Quote Item Price is set to either D-tools provided information or Q360 based on API setup
• Quote Item Cost is set to either D-tools provided or Q360 based on API setup
• If a master number does not exist in Q360:
  • MasterNo is not set on Quote Item
  • Price and cost will be set to what is provided by D-Tools
  • Quote vendor part number is set to the part number provided by D-Tools
