Q360 and Microsoft’s Basic Authentication Deprecation – 60 Day Notice
Microsoft has announced on several occasions of their intent to begin disabling Basic Authentication in Exchange Online as of October 1st, 2022. This change means that they are removing the ability to use Basic authentication in several email technologies, including IMAP. To accommodate this change and continue uninterrupted service of email Send and Receive in Q360, Solutions360 will be issuing a patch to Q360 v22.01 which enables oAuth Authentication of Q360 to Exchange Online. Any Q360 company using an email service provided through Microsoft Exchange Online, (including those using Office365 and Microsoft Online) must upgrade to Q360 v22.01 before October 1st, 2022, or have the patch applied to their current v22.01 Q360 instance.
Once again,
- Any Q360 v7, v8, v9, v10, or v21 must be upgraded to v22.01 BEFORE OCTOBER 1, 2022, to ensure uninterrupted email functionality in Q360.
- If you are running Q360 v22.01, you must make arrangements to have a patch applied to your system prior to that date.
- Please contact support@solutions360.com to coordinate your upgrade or patch.
