Important project dates to be aware of on the project include the following on the Project form:
- Project Form
- Financial Start Date

- Date the order was converted to a project, putting the project on the WIP schedule
- Financial beginning of the project, not the start of work date
- This date is never changed

- Project Start Date

- For informational purposes only (no system logic attached)
- Planned start of execution of the project template
- Start of scheduled labor according to the Project Gantt Chart

- Install Finish

- Represents when the customer would like the solution / system / project deliverables to be in working order
- Filled in by the sales rep on the Opportunity and transfers over when the project is created
- Acts as target while project is in progress. Update this if significant changes occur on project timeline.
- Acts as historic record of actual substantial completion date when that milestone is achieved

- Financial End Date (Project End Date)

- The last day of the period the project is likely to close in
- Important date for forecasting and reporting
- Just an estimate and may be adjusted over the course of the project

- Close Date

- The actual financial close out date of the project
- This date is set by using the Project Extended Menu > Creating Closing Entry

- Date the item will appear in Purchasing Q or Picking Q (if in stock)
- MUST be set with Request Date so Purchasing has the information needed to order

- Date the project manager requests the item to be available at the warehouse or onsite (if drop shipped)
- Critical for cash flow forecasting. Set this Request Date even if you leave PO Release Date blank initially for the time being

- Date the item is expected to be shipped or taken from the warehouse

- Parent Task date range

- Represents the date range over which the corresponding task is scheduled to happen
- Effort hours are reflected on core live data reports over that date range: Labor Capacity Forecast and Project Labor Forecast

- Date task assignee will be assigned on the Resource Console
